Tennis anyone?
Olive found the tennis ball, of course. The round object is called a "mussel disk". I assume for mussel farming.

A slow news day
This is from today and yesterday. "Coverall store" note must have fallen off a ship and washed ashore. Tacoma is 10 or 11th busiest port in the nation and it's just down the road--so to speak.

Clear with early sun
Olive found the chicken tray but she has a one track mind about these things. Bud Light, H2O bottle and a chunk of loathsome Styrofoam. "Used for expanded rigid polystyrene plastic." Styrofoam is made up of tiny pellets mushed together. In the surf, these break up and scatter on the beach. Birds eat them thinking they're food and they stay in the bird's belly forever.

Getting Started
Olive and I walk and swim on Luana Beach every day. This is me and this is Olive:
Every day the beach changes from tides, storms and wind. What doesn't change is the trash. Every day, Olive and I pick up trash on Luana beach. This is a blog about what we find.
